WWE Party Supplies are based on WWE, a professional wrestling promotion. WWE
Inc. is a privately controlled, publicly traded American entertainment company. The company is based in
Stamford, Connecticut with its offices in Los Angeles, New York City, London, Tokyo, Singapore, Shanghai and
Mumbai.
Apart from dealing in professional wrestling,
the company also earns revenue from film, music, product licensing, and direct product sales. WWE is the largest
professional wrestling company in the world. The company has been broadcasting its shows to more than 145 countries
in 30 languages. The company promotes under two brands, Raw and SmackDown.
The Vince McMahon is the chief executive
officer (CEO) and chairman of the company. He is also the majority owner of WWE. He, along with his wife Linda
McMahon, and their children Stephanie McMahon-Levesque and Shane McMahon hold 96% of the voting power and 70% of
WWE's economic interest in the company.
The company started in 1952 as the Capitol
Wrestling Corporation and it promoted under the name of the World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF) and later the
World Wrestling Federation (WWF). It was sold to Titan Sports Company, owned by the same family, in 1982. Titan
Sports Company later changed its name to World Wrestling Federation Entertainment and in 2002 it finally became
World Wrestling Entertainment. In 2011, the name was simplified to "WWE".
A significant portion of the visual history of
professional wrestling is held by WWE as it holds an extensive library of wrestling videos.
The history of WWE starts with Roderick James
"Jess" McMahon, who was a boxing promoter. He, along with Raymond Mondt created the Capitol Wrestling Corporation
Ltd (CWC). In 1953, the CWC joined the National Wrestling Alliance. Later, Vincent J. McMahon joined the company
after his father's death. McMahon learnt a lot about booking and how to work in the wrestling business from Mondt.
Together they controlled around 70% of the NWA's booking.
The NWA wanted that the NWA World Heavyweight
Champion should defend the belt around the world. But McMahon and Mondt wanted the current champion, Buddy Rogers,
to keep the NWA World Championship and they rarely allowed him to wrestle outside of the Northeast. Rogers lost the
championship to Lou Thesz in a match in Toronto, Ontario on January 24, 1963 and this led to CWC leaving the NWA in
protest. In the process, Mondt and McMahon created the World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF).
In the late sixties Mondt left the company.
Vince McMahon Sr. rejoined the organization in 1971. In March 1979 the World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF) was
renamed the "World Wrestling Federation" (WWF) for marketing purposes. Vincent K. McMahon, the son of Vincent J.
McMahon, founded Titan Sports, Inc. on February 21, 1980. He purchased Capitol Wrestling Corporation Ltd. on June
6, 1982 from his father and other stock holders. McMahon began an expansion process against his father's wishes,
and this fundamentally changed the industry.
McMahon began syndicating WWF television shows
to TV stations across the United States. He also began selling videotapes of WWF events through his Coliseum Video
distribution company. He used the income generated by television deals, tape sales and advertising to woo talent
from rival promoters. Then came McMahon's groundbreaking concept, WrestleMania, the Super Bowl of professional
wrestling.
The original WrestleMania that was held in
1985 was a resounding success. In 1987, the WWF produced
WrestleMania III. It was watched by 33 million people, still a record for the most watched wrestling match in North
America.
WWF broke new ground in televised professional
wrestling in 1993 with its cable program WWF Monday Night Raw. It was a runaway success. In March 2001, WWF
Entertainment, Inc. purchased WCW and became the largest wrestling promotion in the world. Later in mid-2003, it
purchased assets of Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW). In March 2002, WWE decided to create two separate
rosters, Raw and SmackDown! On May 26, 2006, WWE re-launched Extreme Championship Wrestling as a WWE brand. On
April 7, 2011, WWE Corporate announced that the company would be renamed and rebranded from "World Wrestling
Entertainment, Inc." to simply "WWE, Inc."
WWE has operated over twenty different
championships in its 50 year history.
Celebrate your little one's biggest day with our exclusive WWE Party Supplies!
We've got a lot of options to choose from. You
may select Basic Party Pack from our WWE Birthday Party Supplies which includes all the stuff you need for 8
guests. Or you may go with the Deluxe Party Pack from our WWE Kids Party Supplies that has much more items than the
WWE Basic Pack. The WWE deluxe pack is also for 8 guests. If you need favor boxes as well, I would suggest you to
choose the combination of Deluxe Party Pack & 8 Favor Boxes from our WWE Kids Birthday Party Supplies as it
would cost you much more if you purchase them separately. If you think that the number of guests may exceed 8 you
should consider WWE Party Pack Add-On as it contains extra items for the extra guests. You may order WWE Party
Favor Boxes separately as well.
I've personally used WWE Party Supplies for my kid's
