Tie Dye Party Supplies
Tie Dye Party
Supplies is one of the most popular kids' birthday
party themes of all times. So, if you were searching for Tie Dye Party
Supplies you've landed on the right page.
Tie Dye Party Supplies are based on tie-dye, a
process of dyeing (coloring). Throughout the world, in many cultures, traditional dyeing methods have been used
that produced tie-dye patterns. Tie-dye is just their modern version.
In the late 1960s and early 1970s tie dye was
a part of the hippie style and became very popular, mainly in the west. In the Unites States, musicians like, John
Sebastian, The Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin and Joe Cocker popularized it.
There is a simple process to do the
tie-dyeing. The material is folded into a pattern and is bound with rubber bands or strings. Then the dye is
applied, but only to parts of the material. Due to the ties, only some part of the material gets colored, and not
the entire material. Different colors of dyes can be applied to different sections of the material to form designs.
Once the process is complete, the material is rinsed to set the dye.
Although various kinds of dyes are available,
mostly Procion MX fiber reactive dyes are used today. This dye can be applied at the warm room temperatures. The
colors set well in cotton, silk, linen, hemp etc and do not fade with washing.
Pre-Colombian tie-dye was popular in Peru
during 500 to 800 A.D. Their designs contain lines and small circles with bright red, green, blue and yellow
colors.
Shibori is a form of tie-dye that was born in
Japan and has been practiced here since the eighth century.
In the Hausa region of West Africa, tie-dye
techniques have been used for centuries.
Plangi and tritik are tie-dye techniques of
Indonesia.
Bandhna is a tie-dye technique from India. The
Bandhani fabrics of Rajasthan are popular all over the world.
Tie-dyeing is known in the US since
1909.
Mudmee is a tie-dye technique that is used in
Thailand and neighboring part of Laos. The base color of this pattern is black.
Different folds are used to create different
kinds of patterns.
You may select Basic Party Pack from our Tie
Dye Birthday Party Supplies which includes all the stuff you need for 8 guests. Or you may go with the Deluxe Party
Pack from our Tie Dye Kids Party Supplies that has much more items than the Tie Dye Basic Pack. The Tie Dye deluxe
pack is also for 8 guests. If you need favor boxes as well, I would suggest you to choose the combination of Deluxe
Party Pack & 8 Favor Boxes from our Tie Dye Kids Birthday Party Supplies as it would cost you much more if you
purchase them separately. If you think that the number of guests may exceed 8 you should consider Tie Dye Party
Pack Add-On as it contains extra items for the extra guests. You may order Tie Dye Party Favor Boxes separately as
well.
I've personally used
Tie Dye Party Supplies for my
kid's birthday and through my personal experience I would recommend it to all Tie Dye lover
kids.
