Pinkalicious Party Supplies are based on Pinkalicious, the star of a Children's Book Series written and illustrated by Victoria and Elizabeth Kann. Victoria and Elizabeth Kann are sisters. The story is about a little girl called Pinkalicious Pinkerton. She loves pink, especially pink cupcakes and wants to eat more and more! This sparkling picture book is a story with a moral, and the moral is that being yourself is best of all.

Pinkalicious is the story of a cute little girl with a big appetite for anything pink. The tale depicts the fact that too much of anything, however good, is not always good. Pinkalicious also discovers that mom and dad know what’s best for you, even when it comes to eat your vegetables. Pinkalicious is a lesson-instilling, lovable and heartwarming tale that displays many important lessons for young girls as well as boys, including values like kindness, respect, self control, honesty, moderation and staying true to yourself, and the most important lesson - eating your “green food”!

The main characters of the story are Pinkalicious, Mrs. Pinkerton, Peter, Mr. Pinkerton, Doctor Wink and Alison.

On a rainy day, Mrs. Pinkerton and her daughter, Pinkalicious, decide to kill time by baking cupcakes. Pinkalicious insists on making them pink. She wants everything pink: pink cake and pink frosting. Mother agrees and when they are done, she gets to have some. But, because she loves pink cupcakes, she begs and whines for more cupcakes.

Her mother warns her about the downside of having too much of a good thing. She says “you get what you get and you don’t get upset”. But Pinkalicious ignores the warning. She spends the entire day eating those pink cupcakes. She wakes up the next morning with a horrible case of Pinkititus!!! She has turned pink.

The parents are worried and try everything to get the pink color out of her skin, but fail to do so. So, they take her to Doctor Wink. The doctor examines her and finds that the only remedy to her Pinkititus is to only eat green food until she changes back to normal.

Despite the doctor's warning, she just cannot resist those Pink Cupcakes. In the middle of the night, she sneaks another cupcake. When she wakes up the next morning, she is no longer pink. She has turned red! She then realizes what she has to do. She needs to follow what the doctor said.

She now eats all the "green food" she can find. The next morning, Pinkalicious wakes up as normal again. Now she is happy with being just the way she is. She learns the most important lesson of all: being yourself.

Now, her daddy discovers that the Pink Cupcakes are now all gone. It seems that it is her little brother who ate them because now, he has turned Pink.

Pinkalicious has won 2011 Buckaroo Book Award.
