Camp Rock Party Supplies are based on the Disney Channel Movie with the same name that was released in 2008. The main stars of the film are the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato. The movie is produced by Alan Sacks and directed by Matthew Diamond. Camp Rock movie features music by Julie Brown, Paul Brown, Karen Gist and Regina Hicks.

The movie made its debut on June 20, 2008 on the American Disney Channel and 8.9 million viewers watched the movie. At that time it was the third highest viewed Disney Channel Original Movie. The top two were High School Musical 2 and Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie. After its premiere on Disney Channel, Camp Rock got aired on ABC's The Wonderful World of Disney. The story of the movie is about an aspiring young musician, Mitchie Torres (Demi Lovato), who wants to become a professional singer. She wants to go to "Camp Rock", a music camp. Her family can't afford to send her to the camp, her mother, Connie (Maria Canals Barrera), decides to cater food for the camp. This would allow Mitchie to attend the camp. But Mitchie will have to help her mother out in the kitchen.

Shane Gray (Joe Jonas) is made in charge of dance classes at Camp Rock for one month. He is a spoiled pop star with cocky and arrogant attitude. On his first day he hears someone singing in a terrific voice. He does not know the identity of the singer, but immediately falls in love with the voice. He spends most of his time trying to find the girl who was singing. He has to record a song with the winner of Final Jam.

When Mitchie comes to know about the roots of other campers, she is embarrassed of herself. To avoid the embarrassment, she lies that her mother is the president of Hot Tunes TV China. Campers are impressed. Caitlyn (Alyson Stoner) comes to know about her secret, but due to the support by Mitchie at an incident, she remains silent.

Meanwhile, Shane is in search of "the voice." Shane and Mitchie are going along well and become friends, but he doesn't know it is the girl with the voice he has been searching for. Tess Tyler (Meaghan Jette Martin) becomes jealous of her due to her closeness with Shane. She comes to know about her secret and tell all the campers about it. Shane is annoyed as he thinks that Mitchie lied to him just to use him. Only Caitlyn Gellar sticks by her side.

One the eve of the Final Jam, Mitchie and her supporter, Caitlyn, are framed by Tess for stealing her charm bracelet. When Tess performs her song, she stumbles on the stage. After the announcement that Final Jam is over, Mitchie comes out on stage and performs her song. Shane realizes that this was the same voice that he had heard on the first day and loved so much and comes on the stage and sings with her. In the end, "We Rock" is performed.

The Camp Rock soundtrack sold more than 188,000 units in its first week and debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 album charts. The album has sold more than 1,257,000 copies to date.

On August 19, 2008, the DVD and Blu-ray prints were released for the film, the title being "Camp Rock: Extended Rock Star Edition". In other countries it was released in November 2008. In UK, it got released in December 2008, but only on DVD.

The DVD and Blu-ray contain many bonus features like extended ending, sing-along and karaoke functions, "How to Be a Rock Star", "Jonas Brothers: Real Life Rock Stars", "Introducing Demi Lovato", "Too Cool: Setting the Stage", "Hasta La Vista: From Rehearsal to Final Jam", music videos and "Camp Memories": a still gallery with video feature.

Lucy Ruggles has novelized the movie. Camp Rock: the Junior Novel has been published by Disney. The hardcover edition of the novel contains photos as well.
